How the reservoir works
Using the included pipette, fill the reservoir from the back of the pen up to the recommended level.
The internal glass beads help regulate the flow, and the ink naturally descends by capillary action to the fine tip.
This is not a dip pen: once primed, it allows continuous and precise drawing.
If the flow does not start immediately, gently blow through the back over absorbent paper.
A filling pipette is included with every pen.
Compatible inks
Use fluid water-based inks: watercolor inks, fluid calligraphy inks, or selected India inks.
Avoid metallic, acrylic, glitter, or gel-based inks.
Also avoid inks that are too thick or heavily loaded with binders.
Ink fluidity is essential for proper operation.

After use, rinse the tip with clean water, then fill the pen with water from the back.
Turn the tip upward and shake to expel the water and diluted ink.
Repeat if necessary until the water runs clear. Warm water can help clean stubborn inks.
Store the pen in the included case to protect it.
The pen is made from borosilicate glass, a more durable glass than standard glass, notably used in certain laboratory instruments and equipment.
It is designed for normal everyday handling. Like any glass object, it should simply be protected from drops and excessive pressure on the tip.
Each pen comes with a rigid travel case to store and protect it between uses. If the tip breaks, contact us to explore a possible repair.
The B1 is the most versatile pen. Its beveled tip naturally varies the line width depending on the angle.
The F3 is designed for precision. Its fine tip is ideal for details, outlines, and intricate lines, typically between 0.25 and 0.35 mm depending on the pen, ink, and paper.
If you're looking for an expressive and versatile pen, choose the B1. If you need precision and detail, the F3 is the better fit.
Handcrafted for detail
Every F3 pen is flame-worked in our Marseille workshop. The glass is worked one piece at a time, and every tip is tested before shipping.
Each tip is individually shaped and adjusted.
Designed for fine lines, outlines, and detailed work.
Draw longer without repeated dipping.
The F3 was developed to offer a finer and more precise line than the B1, while retaining the autonomy of the integrated reservoir. It is particularly suited for details, illustration, and technical drawing.
The 1 to 2 week production lead time reflects the time needed to make, inspect, and prepare your pen. Each piece is made to order.
Your pen rest
Optional accessory: designed for short breaks, it helps keep the tip moist and protects your workspace.
Short break
A small amount of water helps keep the tip moist during a brief pause.
Controlled restart
A few strokes on a test sheet are usually enough to restore a regular flow.
Stability
Lets you set the pen down more cleanly and reduces the risk of spills or damage.
The rest is designed for short breaks. During longer pauses, ink may continue to flow depending on its viscosity.
The rest improves comfort of use and secures pen placement, but does not replace regular maintenance.
